| Yurt at Apple Creek Campground. |
The Yurt
is a modern adaptation of the ancient shelter used by Central Asian nomads for centuries. The compact shape of the yurt and
combination of lightweight members in tension and compression mean that the structure is highly efficient in maximizing strength.

| Bunks in the yurt sleeps five. |
Our yurt is a circular, Mongolian-style domed "tent" 16
feet in diameter with a plywood floor, hardwood lattice sidewalls and a clear Plexiglas skylight with ceiling fan and heater.
This fully insulated shelter is designed to withstand high winds, snow loads and summer heat. It has a framed-in lockable
wood door and windows with screens and storm flaps. Covered entirely by waterproof canvas, the yurt is an aesthetically pleasing
and comfortable place to stay, even in the dead of winter.

Though generally classified as a tent, the yurt is much
stronger and weathertight. This year we have one 16' yurt that sleeps five, with hopes of more in the near future.
We've also adding a sleeping cabin that is a 10' x 14' wooden structure with a sleeping loft.

Our yurts and sleeping cabins come with water and electricity. Inside
you'll find bunks for sleeping (bring your own sleeping bags/linens), a table for games or meals, and for your comfort
electric lamps and a heater. Outside you'll be able to cook on the open fire with a grill installed over the
firepit (bing your cooking gear), use of a picnic table, and lawn chairs. All for the low price of $69 per night for
a family, which is perfect for the occasional camper or if you just don't want to work as hard to enjoy the camping
experience.
